A Systematic Approach to and Review of Fire Investigation - 1 CEU
This class is being held in conjunction with the Floria Fire and Explosives Investigators Section's Regional Meeting

Mr. Lahens is scheduled to present a comprehensive review of a fire investigation he recently completed. He will employ a PowerPoint presentation to illustrate his systematic approach, detailing his documentation and analytical reasoning throughout the process. At the conclusion of the presentation, he will facilitate a question-and-answer session to address any inquiries.

Instructor Bio:
Phillipe Lahens is a committed fire prevention professional with comprehensive experience in both the fire service and the medical field. His areas of expertise include fire investigations, fire inspections, life safety, code compliance, and emergency medical services. Mr. Lahens is recognized for his professionalism, strong work ethic, and dedication to serving and safeguarding his community. He has been employed by the City of Fort Lauderdale since 2014, during which he has undertaken a variety of responsibilities within the Fire Prevention Bureau. These responsibilities encompass plan reviews, permit inspections, Special Magistrate hearings, public education initiatives, and fire investigations. Mr. Lahens possesses certifications in fire investigations from the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), where he holds the designations of Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) and Certified Fire Investigator (CFI). Moreover, he is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) and a Certified Fire Protection Engineer (CFPE) with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). He embodies the principles of a balanced and purpose-driven life rooted in integrity and adheres to a disciplined lifestyle, which reflects the same determination he applies to his professional endeavors.
