Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association Presents
Carbon Dioxide Fire Inspector Training - 2 hr.
This training session will briefly discuss the science of the carbon dioxide gas itself: what is it, why does it act the way it does, and how do I know it’s there? The session will also touch on the storage of CO2 under pressure. Additionally, attendees will learn how CO2 acts and reacts in typical environments as well as what unsafe and toxic levels are for the gas. Attendees will learn some of the uses for CO2 and how it is monitored in other applications, especially where the gas is being stored and utilized in businesses in your community. The location, placement, and typical applications of CO2 systems will be covered. We will also discuss the necessities for measuring the gas, the technology behind precise gas measurement, and some of the options in detection and monitoring.
The class has been approved for two (2) hours of CEUs for Fire Code Administrator, and Fire Safety Inspector I&II.
