In partnership with the Broward County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Department of Transportation's Safe Mobility for Life Coalition is hosting a regional CarFit Training & Event in Weston!

CarFit is a community-based educational program that promotes continued safe driving and enhanced mobility among older drivers by focusing attention on safety, comfort, and fit. A proper fit in one's personal vehicle can greatly increase not only the driver's safety but the safety of others on the road.

Event: CarFit Technician & Event Coordinator Training
Date: Friday, December 13, 2024
Location: Broward Sheriff's Office - Weston District (Training Room), 17300 Royal Palm Blvd, Weston, FL 33326
Technician Training 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
(Optional) Event Coordinator Training 1:00 - 4:00 pm*
*Event Coordinators candidates only attending this 3-hour training must have previous experience working as a Technician.
Both of the above sessions (Technician and Event Coordinator) have been approved for up to 3 CEUs each for Fire Inspector, Fire Code Administrator, Fire Instructor, Public Fire Educator and Fire Investigator)
