Area of Rescue - Two Way Communication Systems - 2 hr
Description:
This class addresses Area of Rescue two-way communication systems. Standard and UL listed systems components, wiring, and location of systems. Test and inspection of systems what should be covered in a report.
At the end of this session, the student will be able to: 1. Understand what codes dictate area of rescue systems. 2. Understand wiring and components that are utilized in an Area of Rescue systems. 3. Understand the tie into the fire panel and the supervisory signals and conditions from the AOR system. 4. Understand the signage requirements for the Area of rescue systems. 5. Identify what needs to be included in test and inspection report of an Area of Rescue system. 6. Understand the differences in operations, equipment, and location of equipment in a Standard and UL listed system. 7. Understand and identify 3 communication methods for Area of Rescue systems. 8. Understand the UL 2525 listed system; components and difference in operation, and installation. 9. Occupancy test and inspection-what should the integrator provide.
