Transient Public Lodging and the Fire Official - 2hr.

Instructor: Division Chief/ Fire Marshal John Adler Alachua County Fire Rescue 

 (2 Contact hours approved for Fire Code Administrator, Fire Safety Inspector and Fire Service Instructors)

Transient Public Lodges have several unique concerns that must be addressed by fire officials. This course review the requirements outlined in Florida State Statues 633, Florida Administrative Code 69A-43, and the Florida Fire Prevention Code. Licensing requirements from DBPR are discussed in detail as well. This class will look at the importance of enforcing fire codes for AirBnB type occupancies. At the end of the session, students will have a better understanding the role fire prevention plays in ensuring compliance.
