The Florida Fire Marshals and Inspector's Association Presents:
Basic Fire Alarms - 8 hrs.
This course will provide an overview of basic fire alarm panels and peripheral devices to include initiation and notification devices. This course will discuss these required topics and how read a fire alarm panel and determine the location of the devices that is in alarm. The course will also include false alarm prevention and proper device locations. We will also discuss the benefits of surge suppression and inspection and maintenance requirements.
The class has been approved for two (8) hours of CEUs for Fire Code Administrator, Fire Safety Inspector I. and Fire Instructor I, II and III.

Instructor:
BJ Klingensmith is a licensed fire alarm contractor (inactive) in the State of Florida. He has 37 years in the industry and is NICET Level 4 in Fire Alarm Systems. He is a Subject Matter expert for NICET in the BDA certification as well as the Fire Alarm certification. BJ is the training Director for AFAA of Florida and a Fire Alarm Instructor for the Independent Electrical Contractors Association.
