Summary of Important Code Changes in NFPA 13 - 2019 Cycle - 1 hr.

     (1 Contact Hour approved for Fire Code Administrator, Fire Safety Inspector and Instructor I, II, III)

The Summary of Important Code Changes for 2019 Cycle highlights major code changes in NFPA 13, 13D and 13R. Students will learn how to make a code comment on one of the NFPA documents.  Students will discuss the reorganization of NFPA 13 as well as discuss the upcoming first draft public inputs for NFPA 14. Pete Schwab is the Vice President of Engineering Technologies, Purchasing and Fabrication for Wayne Automatic FireSprinklers. He has been actively employed in the sprinkler industry since 1987. He has experience as an installer, design technician, manager as well as his current role as Vice President. He is Level IV NICET certified in the Fire Sprinkler field and Level III in Special Hazards. He serves on multiple NFPA committees responsible for the following NFPA documents: 13D, 13R, 13 (Installation, Discharge & Hanging and Bracing) 14, 24 and 291. He also serves on the Florida Building and Fire Code Technical Advisory Committee. Pete currently is one of the Florida Representatives on the National Fire Sprinkler Association's Engineering and Standards committee.
